Picture Books

My illustrated picture books of Hawaiʻi. I started to illustrate picture books in 1998 with watercolor, and shifted to illustrate with hand collage, using both hand-painted papers and textural papers. When I started to use digital to illustrate, I wanted to keep the same fun, whimsical and textual look and slowly developed my recent style of mixed media digital collage. I often add nature elements whenever possible, featuring many native plants and animals, when assigned to illustrate for island keiki.
